HOW DO I BOOK A PRIVATE TOUR?

You can call (828) 484-1684 or email info@mountainmuraltours.com

HOW MANY GUESTS CAN BE ACCOMMODATED PER TOUR?

We can accommodate up to 14 guests.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

We charge $400. We enjoy customizing your tour. The deposit is 50% , $250.

DO YOU OFFER ANY SHUTTLE SERVICES?

Our meeting place is on Foundy Street in the River Arts District. If you would like a shuttle we can prearrange a pick-up for an additional fee.

IS GRATUITY INCLUDED?

A 20% gratuity for the driver and the driver is advised for the tour.

WHAT IS THE CANCELLATION POLICY?

Parties must cancel 7 days prior to the scheduled tour to receive a full refund. Deposits paid on private rentals are non-refundable.

Is the tour appropriate for all ages? Are babies allowed?

The tour is safe for children of all ages. Children under under 4″9 must have an appropriate car seat.

What safety precautions are you making for tours?

The interior is sterilized between tours. All drivers and guides have received COVID vaccines. Every seat has a DOT approved seat belt.

Cancellations

Parties must cancel 7 days prior to the tour to receive a refund. The 50% deposit is nonrefundable.

What should I bring with me and how should I dress?

You can bring water bottles and snacks. You should dress appropriately for the weather but there is air conditioning and heat on the bus.

In the past year, I successfully organized eight Mountain mural tours for a local retirement community. Our residents, who are well-traveled, highly educated, and culturally aware, were absolutely thrilled with the vibrant Ashevill Art Scene tours. The staff at Mountain Mural tours were not only professional and knowledgeable, but they also made the experience incredibly enjoyable. What's even more remarkable is that, for the very first time, I did not receive a single complaint from the nearly 100 participants. This is a true testament to the exceptional service provided. As an activity coordinator, planning these tours with Mountain Mural tours was exceptionally easy. The staff responded promptly to my emails and questions, making the planning process a breeze. We eagerly anticipate continuing our partnership with Mountain Mural tours for many more years to come.

I had the privilege of taking a group of high school student interns on this tour for our "Hospitality Camp" summer experience. I'm not sure who enjoyed it most--the adults or the students! We all were wowed and amazed to view our town through the perspective of the art we see each day (and often take for granted). The owners were fantastic to work with and did an excellent job reaching their intended audience. This was an A+ learning opportunity. I would highly recommend this for educators and students, any local interested in learning about Asheville through an entirely different lens, and certainly any tourist looking for an Asheville tour off the beaten path. This was an afternoon well spent!

We took our company staff and it was a big hit for all and great bonding experience. I highly recommend it for small business owners as a team building experience. Great photo opportunities too.

Mountain Murals offered an awesome tour for our residents. A small group had a great time learning more about the murals and their creators. Consensus was that Krista has truly done her research and therefore had a wealth of information to share about the artists and the artwork. Unfortunately we didn't know that our two residents in motorized chairs would have to use tablets to see, as the view from their seats on the bus were obstructed. One said they would still have gone, the other wasn't quite as positive. Overall we will work with Mountain Mural again!

With husband and wife team Krista and Lewis we navigated the city streets learning about the artists that share their inspiration with us all. The 12 of us live here in AVL and most of us have been here 20+ years. It helps to embrace the current culture. I loved the stories Krista and Lewis told.
